Books and book pages are everywhere in decorating. I wrote a post showing 10 different ways to use both in your home. After seeing all the empty glass ball ornaments at Michael's, I decided to make a few ornaments using book pages.
Here's how:
Find an old paperback, tear out some pages, and cut them into strips. I used an old devotional, and cut out the bible verses.
Stuff the strips into the glass ornament and used the eraser end of a pencil to move them around.
When the ornament is full, give it a few shakes to settle the paper strips. Replace the top and tie on a ribbon.
You can use any old book you have. I thought about using sheet music for a small tree on a piano. (Sadly, we don't have either a piano or sheet music, because there are no musicians in the family.)
How about using a wedding invitation and ribbon to match the wedding colors? Or a graduation invitation, and making a bow using school colors? Both of these would make great keepsake ornaments.
You could fill an ornament with favorite sayings or lines from a poem. Both of these were Hubby's ideas. You used to write poetry when we were dating. So
So many possibilities. Have fun!

I love the paper stuffed Christmas Ornaments. I like this idea, but with a Christmas List cut up and stuffed inside. Then each year you create a new one and write the year and name. :) Thanks for sharing!
